Jonathan Clark teaches meditation and mindfulness.
Jonathan has been involved in the Buddhist movement since 1992 and has had a daily meditation practice ever since. He was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2000 as Suddhaka, and has trained with many different teachers within the Triratna and Tibetan traditions.
He has taught meditation in a wide range of contexts including 12 years at the North London Buddhist Centre. He currently teaches at the Brixton Buddhist Centre.
Since 2010 he has been teaching courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) based on the work of Mark Williams and John Kabatt Zinn.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses Jonathan runs regular courses in MBSR at The Goose Green Clinic. These 16 hour courses (usually run over 8 weeks) are based on ancient Buddhist principles, developed in recent years by Jon Kabatt-Zinn and Mark Williams. This course teaches simple and highly effective skills to manage stress and develop greater inner calm and stability.
Regular weekly Buddhist Meditation Classes are run at the Goose Green Clinic, exploring some of the main forms of Buddhist Meditation including Mindfulness and Loving Kindness (Metta Bhavana).
One-to-One classes are tailored to the individual. Jonathan has developed a personal approach to Mindfulness and MBSR. One- to-One is also appropriate for experienced meditators to deepen practice or address specific issues.
Jonathan and Janet regularly run Yoga and Meditation Workshops together. They also run Yoga and Meditation Retreats twice yearly at Tofte Manor, Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, Pian del Colombaio, Tuscany, Italy and Fort Cochin/Marari Sands, Kerala, India
